Edward Dufner is New Jersey’s leading Impressionist who enjoyed a long successful career as an artist and teacher. He lived in Short Hills, a harmonious community for people who appreciated nature and where natural beauty would not be spoiled by real estate development.

Dubbed the “Painter of Sunshine”, his most collectible paintings are those charming impressionist Spring landscapes with figures of women and children dressed in crisp white clothing, leisurely spending the day by a lake or stream.

Although an American Impressionist, he borrowed from the French Impressionists by his use of soft purple shadows. His delicate palette of greens, yellows and blues makes his work instantly recognizable.
