Among the best flower painters in America, Vivian Hoyt occupies an uncontested place in the first rank, a place won as a result of efforts which never slackened.  Vivian was always a painter, and art always remained 
the consuming passion of her life.  Her love of beauty was an innate gift which, combined with her brilliant studies, led to the realization of her unique artistic aesthetic.

She attended the Chicago Art Institute, and her works were exhibited there throughout the 1930’s and early 40’s.  She is listed in Who’s Who in American Art and the National Society of Arts and Letters, among other publications.  Her work is held in both private and public collections.
