Henry Northcote was primarily known as a landscape painter. While we have little information about his life and professional career, we know that he was born in England and worked as a painter in the middle of the nineteenth century.

Henry moved to Brooklyn, New York around 1858 and worked in New York City in a partnership with James Northcote (1822-1904), who was probably his brother.
