We are the oldest art gallery in Los Angeles in continuous operation.  Our parent company opened in New York in 1903, and our Los Angeles gallery began exhibiting fine paintings in 1938. The gallery specializes in 19th and 20th century European and American paintings of investment quality.

We select our paintings with careful attention to quality, condition, provenance and history of each individual work. We are pleased that so many connoisseurs have come to rely on our gallery to help build their collections.

In our American Collection, we usually include examples of the following schools or styles: Hudson River, Luminist, Impressionist, Ashcan, American Scene, Modernist and Illustration. We have a particular interest in paintings that focus on the grandeur and beauty of the West, its history, settlement, and development. We also feature important works by Historical, Plein Air and Modernist California artists.

Our European Collection usually includes examples of the 19th century traditional schools, Impressionist and Post-Impressionist, and a few Modernist works. We are particularly interested in paintings from the French, Dutch, Italian, German, and Spanish Schools.

While our primary focus is to buy and sell paintings, we also provide restoration and appraisal services, as well as art consultation for both new and seasoned collectors.
